What should I do - the wife wants taking to do some shopping and I miss the best trade of the day ?

Oh yea, I think we've all been there one time or another with the dilemna of obligations to others and other tasks when we should be spending time trading. I've resolved this issue a long time ago with the wife, setting limits of my working hours. Have to see it and treat it like it's a job. After all it's your money you're making or losing. I know no other hobby that's involved in making money (unless they turn it into a business). Usually hobbies are for spending money to enjoy it. Unless you see it as a hobby, I suggest you do demo account so you don't spend too much losing it.
The sum is greater than its parts.

It’s a good idea to go out for shopping. Because sometimes people get a boring close at their forex exits. So always do some programming when the day for shopping comes closer! This might save you from the close at a loss.
