Auto System for EURUSD pair
Modified By BrianTran on 3/19/2007 11:35:15 AM)
This is a new thread for my EURUSD auto system I've just finished testing and I'll be walking it forward. I'll try to be punctual with the post as much as possible. Please note that currently it's currently under testing and these signals do not signify recommendations. If you do, you're doing at your own risk.

Here is what the equity curve look like. Based on 1 standard lot (1 pip = $10), no position sizing at all. Speaking in terms of profits, it's very good but as in terms of distribution, you can see a flat area here where the strategy didn't make any gains for a good period of time. The other concern is the we don't know how long the move up until a drawdown starts. I'm expecting a drawdown at some point in the near future but so far it's still pushing up. We'll see.

Re: Auto System for EURUSD pair
Here's the breakdown of the performance report. Not sure if it's good or bad, but for me the most important is the max drawdown, the profit factor, and the average net profit. The max drawdown indicates when I should stop trading this system, the profit factor identify overall profitability of the system, and the average net profit will tell me by how much the winning trades are compared to the losing trades. The equity curve generally tells me over time how robust it is. If it's making new high in a certain frequency over a period of time, then the system is still intact. Psychologically it's tough to watch it when the losing trade is in play, especially when there is consecutive losing trades. But as long as I have the cutoff point in advance, then I have to trust the system will do the right thing.

Re: Auto System for EURUSD pair
After some tweaking this system a little bit, I finally got the signals from this currency again. Here's the last I got, long at 1.3577. Good luck!

Re: Auto System for EURUSD pair

EURUSD system signalled long exit here and go short. So we're now net short on EURUSD. Nothing to do with new highs, just indicator working despite all the fanfare.
