Which “currencies” should I trade in this market?

The most commonly traded are those that are 'liquid' – i.e., those of countries with stable governments, low inflation, and respected central banks. Over 85% of all trading activity revolves around the major currencies – i.e., the Australian Dollar, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, and the U.S. Dollar.

 Do you agree?

Re: Which “currencies” should I trade in this market?
Unless trading is intended to be for hedging to offset high risk of currency movements, the pairs should be liquid. Since I don't trade outside the 5 majors, I have no experience with the rest of the other countries with less liquidity. I can only assume that the countries with stable governments would be a minimum requirement to trade them. Low inflation or not is what drive the markets up or down with volatility. Volatility is what draws traders in. Without it, there wouldn't be much action/liquid.

I'm sure there are other qualifiers to make the pair tradable.

The sum is greater than its parts.
