The trend in AUD/JPY
Reaching to the point of 75.02 the currency is still in a stable position. However, I think you should wait until the rsi hits that 70 mark to make a move to short the currency. The MACD in my opinion shows the two lines about to cross. The blue looks like it is going to surpass the green which shows a costlier economy.

Re: The trend in AUD/JPY

The following data will clarify the things:

- the bearish engulfing on june 22 (using the daily candlestick chart)
- using the *exponential* MACD, we see that there is a large distance between the signal and  MACD       lines, suggestion an impending reversion.
- also, if you create a price channel from October '04 through june 20 of this year, you see that the point where the pair breaks below the resistance line for the first time is june 22. It indicates a sell signal (or obviously a buy signal if you wish to short the pair).

Re: The trend in AUD/JPY
Thanks for the support but a couple of questions...how does what appears to be a false break in the resistance indicate a sell opportunity. I'm not saying that you are wrong I just have never heard of that...also what do you mean by a buy signal to short the pair, isn't short essentially just another way to say sell? How can this be an opportunity to buy?

Hi rylan, would you happen to have a chart to clarify the point you're trying to get? Sorry for my asking, I see things better with charts. Thanks.
The sum is greater than its parts.
